The first day sessions of the Point MENA Conference 2020

The first day of Point MENA Conference 2.0-2020 includes four sessions, the first session will discuss by a group of experts and specialists in the field of truth-disclosure and information verification, the role of new technology in combating fake news and misleading information during the period of protests and the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic that is circulating Through the social media platforms, while the second session will talk about measuring the openness index for Arab governments in the absence of laws that allow citizens to obtain information, in the presence of representatives of local, regional and international organizations.

The third session a group of activists will be hosted to talk about the role of protests in enhancing political accountability, especially after the political developments that accompanied the outbreak of the October revolution in Iraq, and the formation of a new government whose rule is expected to be a year or a year and half for the purpose of preparing for early elections. The fourth and final session will discuss by a group of specialists in the field of programming and technology, the subject of open source applications to monitor violations and provide services to help citizens.
