Former National Coordinator of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, she had more than 16 years of experience, in climate change and environmental issues with UN agencies and international funds like GEF and GCF. She holds a master's degree in environmental engineering and climate change since 2003.

Suzan worked as a Director of the national climate change center in Iraq (2019- 2020). And a national consultant on climate change and gender issues at UNDP in Iraq to implement the project “Strengthening the role and work of the designated national authority to deal with the Green Climate Fund inside Iraq NDA for climate finance programming, governance, regional cooperation, knowledge generation and awareness raising mechanisms for access to international finance in the field of climate change ".

And she a national consultant in Iraq with UNDP as a national focal point between the Ministry of Health and Environment on climate change to facilitate the process of reviewing the document of the Nationally Determined Contributions towards the Paris Agreement and submitting it to the UNFCCC and is currently working as a consultant to write the implementation plan for this important document, which is Iraq's supreme policy for dealing with climate change issues.
